Terms and Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before using the HealthOS Ghana platform. Last updated: 1 September 2026.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or otherwise accessing HealthOS Ghana (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any policies referenced within them. If you are accessing the Platform on behalf of a facility or organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization.
2. Who can use the Platform
The Platform is available to patients, licensed clinicians, facility administrators, pharmacy and laboratory staff, and community health workers operating within Ghana's healthcare system, subject to identity verification and role-based access controls appropriate to their function.
3. Not a substitute for emergency care
HealthOS Ghana supports remote consultations, records management, and care coordination. It is not intended for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your nearest emergency department or emergency services immediately.
4. Clinical responsibility
Clinicians using the Platform remain solely responsible for the clinical decisions, diagnoses, prescriptions, and referrals they make. The Platform provides tools for documentation, communication, and workflow coordination; it does not practice medicine or provide clinical judgment on behalf of any user.
5. Account security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
6. Payments
Consultation fees, where applicable, may be settled through supported mobile money channels or National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) coverage. Fees, refund eligibility, and billing disputes are handled in accordance with the payment terms presented at the time of transaction.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Platform, including attempting to access accounts or records you are not authorized to view, interfering with Platform security controls, or submitting false clinical or identity information.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform where required to protect patient safety, platform integrity, or to comply with applicable law or professional regulatory obligations.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, including applicable healthcare and data protection legislation.
